“I believe that none of us can conceive the full import of what Christ did for us in Gethsemane, but I am grateful every day of my life for His atoning sacrifice in our behalf. President Thomas S. Monson
Today I gave a lesson in Relief Society on "Immortality of the Soul" and have such a great understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.“
Perhaps one of the greatest blessings I have received by
being LDS is a concrete understanding of the purpose of life. We believe that
every human being is a child of Heavenly Father. We lived with Him in Heaven
before we were born on earth. Our purpose in life is to keep His commandments,
so that we can be worthy to return to live with our Father in Heaven. We cannot
be worthy without allowing the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
The purpose of life
is to learn, and change and become better, more like Jesus Christ our perfect
example. This is our time to be tested and to have families, with whom we can
have the opportunity to live with forever. I have learned so much through the
trials God has given me, and I've been able to change to become more like the
person I've wanted to become much faster through the hard times, than through
times when life has been easy. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and
knows what experiences will help us to become the person we want to become. I
have come to know much better than i used to, that he wants to help us
accomplish our goals and He wants us to be so happy and attain all that he has.
He's doing His best to help us to learn and grow and to return to Him again.
Yesterday we lost someone very close to our family Tyler Bailey. He was a hero, fighter, faithful, strong, friend to all, and amazing person . If you knew Ty he always put others first and had such a contagious laugh that would light up a room. He will be missed and thought about everyday, but to know that his beautiful family will be together again is so humbling. It doesn't make the loss any easier but he is in such a special place looking over us all. We feel so honored to keep his name sake with our sweet boy "Tyler." We love you Ty and will never forget you
Happy Easter
We had a wonderful Easter day with a beautiful Church service followed by dinner with my brother and his family.
